Freedom.

Today, I am thankful to be an American.
I am thankful for the privilege of voting, freely making my own choices, without coercion; without fear.
I am thankful I am able to voice my opinions, without fear of censorship or physical harm.
I am thankful for the freedom to bear arms, if I so choose.
I am thankful for the opportunities to further my education, growing and becoming who I want to be; not who my class of birth dictates I will be.
I am thankful for the brave who answer the call to protect us; and especially those who have died doing so.
I am thankful for the families of the brave who raise their children as single parents for lengthy periods of time; and for their children who look out into the audience and see an empty seat.
I am thankful for the freedom to raise my children in this country, One Nation, Under God.
