Dear Sweet friends of ours lost their son last night after he apparently took his own life. Nick was a senior and he and Shawn have grown up together, played sports together, gone to school together. He and Sarah always had a sweet little crush/flirtation going on back and forth. The details and circumstances are unimportant. The truth is that there is a family hurting. A son is gone. Dreams are lost.
I can not imagine the pain that Cecelia and Steve are feeling right now. Nick’s siblings…grandparents.
Please include them in your prayers today and for as long as God puts them on your heart.

Father God, you are the God of all comfort. Hold this family during this terrible time. Father I pray your protection upon their hearts. Bring the right people to come alongside of them in their grief. Father, you know the pain, help them to grasp this simple truth, that You truly know. Father I also ask that you would move on peoples hearts to do the right thing. Whatever that may be, in Your way, move. Hold them and carry them. In Jesus name.
