Love Languages.

I may have mentioned, once or twice, that my #1 Love Language is gifts. And the gifts that arrived yesterday really made me feel the love.

First of all, these little lovelies arrived in the mail:

A pretty machine stitched CD case and sweet fabric pin

An adorable Nancy Drew postcard with a hand written note and sweet little machine stitched notepad.

And of course, the piece de resistance

The Man was laughing WITH me because I was so psyched when he walked in with the package (which I had been waiting DAYS for) and played keep away when I tried to snatch it out of his hands. He looked over all the girly stuff and kind of grunted in that, “I don’t get what all the excitement is about” manly way.

And later on in the day, there was a knock on the side door and in walked my High School BFF and her husband who were running errands in our town. They live in Maryland. I was so surprised to see them. And happy. Especially when she came bearing gifts! I mean, only a bff for years and years would remember that I have this freakish love of wooden forks. One of these is vintage, one is brand new. I particularly love vintage and antique black handled three prong forks like those my great grandma had and now I have (minus the one my mom uses at her home).

Such a great day of gift receiving. I’m still smilin’.

Hugs….

Susan
