Outside my Window…last night….(crazy lightning as Sarah keeps saying) lightning streaking across the dark, cloudy night. Thunder was vibrating through the house. Rain hitting the side of the house. This morning…the sun is shining, the winds are calm.
I am thinking…that my spiritual side has been so dark and shadowed lately and this morning I am ready for it to be like the dawn.
I am thankful for…the Godly women in my life. They pray for me. They help me. They love me. They are a part of me. Praise Jesus.
From the kitchen…I can’t remember the last time I cooked. I’ve been away two weekends in a row and in between…games, meetings, blah blah blah!
I am creating…some wonderful memories for our children lately. Birthdays, graduations, individual time spent with each child.
I am going…to meet this God Chick next week. Woo-hoo!
I am wearing…V*ctoria S*cret jammies…white with black puppy paw prints on them. Long sleeves, light and comfy. My Man gives me a new pair of comfy vs jammies every Christmas. He knows what I like….flannel.
I am hoping…that Sarah is able to pull off decent last quarter grades. She was able to complete her math project last night into this morning (at 1:30am). She kept freaking out about it and we would have to calm her down and get her back on track. Having a child with ADD has turned out to be more challenging than I anticipated.
I am hearing…the cat talking at me. He wants out of Sarah’s room and I’m ignoring him.
Around the house…our sweet pup is stretched out in the hallway right outside the office door. Sarah is sleeping in for a bit after working on her math project til the wee hours. Shawn has just pulled away from the curb. I can hear the birds outside. They are calling me to my quiet time on the back porch.
One of my favorite things…shopping with Goose and Sipple for carnation pink tee shirts to decorate for the 2008 Side Out Foundation beach volleyball tournament this Sunday. Then going to our favorite place for dinner. We did that last night. All-in-all, Sarah has some wonderfully personable and sweet friends. This particular friend, Sipple, is the setter for their volleyball team (varsity as well as club). She and Sarah often have their moments…like last night when Sip was making the calls about the decorating of their tee shirts and Sarah was getting frustrated that she was having no say so. I, thankfully, was able to use it as an example of what is really important…
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…work today and get everything ready for church on Sunday. Tomorrow I am off and will be cleaning, doing laundry, going to Costco, getting ready for Shawn’s birthday party on Saturday.
